About the Gruffalo
The 30-minute animated film “The Gruffalo” is based on the world bestseller and children’s book classic “The Gruffalo” by the British author Julia Donaldson and the German illustrator Axel Scheffler. In 2019 the Gruffalo celebrates its 10th anniversary. It tells the story of a mouse that uses intelligence, humor and courage to put its enemies foxes, owls and snakes to flight by pretending to have an appointment with a monster called the Gruffalo, whom she later actually meets to her horror. In the German language version of this radio play based on the film, prominent voices breathe life into the characters: Christian Ulmen, who lends his voice to the sly mouse, and Bud Spencer spokesman Wolfgang Hess, who voices the Gruffalo. Other roles are with Gert Voss, Otto Sander and Edgar Selge prominently cast. In addition to the radio play, the box also contains the song album with two new, exclusive bonus tracks.
